Foster Dorning Shrout, MPA is the CEO and Founder of Solutions First Consulting, a strategic consulting firm based in Lexington, Kentucky, established in 2023. Shrout brings extensive experience in operations, strategy, and leadership to his role. Mr. Shrout earned a Master of Public Administration from Eastern Kentucky University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Kentucky.
In addition to his consulting work, Shrout has been appointed to several public service roles by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear. He currently serves on the Consumers’ Advisory Council and has previously been a member of the Kentucky Commission on Small Business Innovation and Advocacy, reflecting his commitment to economic development and consumer advocacy. Shrout is also a Contributor and Official Member of the Forbes Business Council, where he shares insights on leadership and business strategy.
A ninth-generation Kentuckian residing in Owingsville, Foster is engaged in philanthropy and enjoys spending time with family and friends, antiquing, and exploring local cuisines.
